All art is a poetic interpretation of the questions that transcend the artists soul. In that soul is always present the permanence and impermanence, life and death. The image, in its own nature, communicates something that is beyond what we see, beyond the visible. Thus, this painting series is based in subjects of nature and intends to be a life’s metaphor. These images were chosen because of its relationship with our steps in life: roots, fruits, intellect, old age, seeds… With that said, roots are our past, the place where we were born, grew up and built part of our personal history. The fruits mean the food we need for a healthy development. The book is the metaphor of the intellectual growth and the relationship of mankind with its knowledge. Dry leaves are the Autumn, the life’s Fall and the last chapter of our lives. The seeds are the testimony we leave behind as a legacy for future generations.
